M-Tech designs, manufactures and supplies Enerflow Technologies heating and cooling equipment. A heat pump is in essence a heating and cooling technology that is extremely energy efficient. Heat pumps can make a substantial contribution towards reducing the peak power and energy consumption requirement in residential, commercial and industrial buildings, while contributing to the promotion of green energy.
The flagship product is a range of air-source sanitary water heating heat pumps that find application in hotels, hospitals and other large residences (such as those found at schools, universities and colleges, mines and correctional service facilities). Our heat pump systems are designed to maximize value for money in terms of LifeCycle Cost (LCC).
This does not always imply the lowest initial cost, but takes into account the capitalized operating cost including the impact of peak demand and energy consumption tariffs. We therefore strive to offer competitive initial cost, high quality and reliability, high energy efficiency, low peak power demand, low maintenance and correctly integrated, overall system design.
Included in our product range is a unit suitable for individual home or small business use. By receiving the coveted Eskom (Eta) award for the best energy efficient design in the commercial sector in 2002, the success of this approach was recognized. . M-Tech has continued to build on this success. In 2011, James Cruickshank of the Medi-Clinic group won the ESKOM industry energy efficiency champion eta award, using Enerflow water heating heat pumps in his showcase project. These pumps are locally manufactured and supplied by M-Tech.
Besides the standard range of products, M-Tech also offers the capability to design, manufacture and install first-of-a-kind heating and cooling equipment. This includes dual and triple function combined heating and cooling machines, swimming pool heat pumps and special machines for dedicated industrial processes or experimental facilities. Examples of our specially designed and built machines include an environmental control system for underground mine rescue chambers, a water heater and chiller for a precision temperature controlled therapeutic bath and various agricultural drying machines.
